NFT Market Volume

On Friday, Opensea traded $137.63 million in volume, very similar to Thursday's activity.

RTFKT - MNLTH was the highest traded project yesterday, with an explosion in volume and 688 sales totaling 6,054 ETH, this means that volume was up by 600% in a day. This comes as RTFKT, which was acquired by Nike last year, posted a video teasing their new CryptoKicks sneaker collection for the metaverse.

Moonbirds saw another day of solid trading volume, with 5,889 ETH in sales. Whilst this figure is high in comparison to other projects, it's the lowest day for the project so far and we expect volume to cool down further sometime in the next few days as liquidity moves back to other projects.

Bored Ape Kennel Club, which is often overlooked but still part of the Bored Ape Ecosystem saw a surge in sales with 2,927 ETH in sales. This appears to be projects most highly traded day in history since it launched last summer. The spike in volume came from even more rumors regarding Yuga Lab's "Otherside" which have been rampant and caused multiple pumps over the past 2 weeks.

NFT Floor Changes

RTFKT-MNLTH (11.30 ETH, +36.16%) saw great gains in its floor price after the news regarding the new Nike CryptoKicks project was announced. The project's floor had been fairly flat for a number of months, trading in a range between 5 and 7 ETH, however, this news was a good catalyst for a pump and we look forward to seeing how the CryptoKicks project pans out.

A huge exploit in Akutar Mint Pass's smart contract was found, effectively leaving $45 million in users' funds stuck inside the contract, the project has since posted an update on Twitter. Akutar conducted a snapshot of all holders last night for a future airdrop, which led to a dump immediately after the snapshot of holders took place. This caused the price to tumble from highs of 4.4 ETH down to 0.25 ETH, a 90%+ drop. The project is working hard to rectify the issues with their launch and we will post any future news once it is available.

MURI by Haus (0.92 ETH, +31.34%) which launched last month but saw little movement for many weeks pumped over the past 2 days, the team is working hard with many fun additions in the pipeline. If you'd like to read more on the project, this thread is a good start.

🎸 Metal music royalty, Slipknot, have announced a partnership with The Sandbox for their music festival platform, Knotfest, to build out a dark-carnival themed and aptly named 'Knotverse'. As with many mainstream bands announcing NFT projects, reactions were mixed.

😱 According to a tweet posted by DeFi, NFT & MEV developer @0xfoobar, the AkuDreams project that launched yesterday had a bug in the contract which led to the total bids of $34 million, (11,539 ETH), being permanently locked into the AkuDreams contract, with users being unable to be refunded due to bad math in their Dutch Auction code.
