NFT Market Volume

Opensea traded $100.79 million on Wednesday, a notable decline from the past week which averaged around $130 million per day.

One of the largest traded projects yesterday was Akuma Origins, which had 1379 sales totaling 2163 ETH. This came as the project revealed its art yesterday, which you can see here. Projects often see a large influx in volume around their art reveal as people begin to sell the less rare NFTs and others try to purchase the rarer traits.

The market was pretty stagnant elsewhere. Projects which have seen plenty of hype and heightened trading volumes over the past week began to cool down. This includes Azuki with 22 sales totaling 768 ETH, down from last week's highs of 318 sales worth 8758 ETH. Another project in a similar boat is Pudgy Penguins, which traded 267 ETH, down from 967 ETH on Tuesday.

VaynerSports Pass saw a second strong day of sales, albeit down on launch day. The project traded 1020 ETH with 2,269 sales. AJ Vaynerchuk, the project's founder, released a list of wallet addresses that will be refunded for their failed transactions. This comes as critics on Twitter broke down the project's smart contracts which resulted in many people losing money trying to mint the project.

NFT Floor Changes

Akuma Origins (1.05 ETH, -34.44%) saw a dump immediately after the art was revealed. This follows a similar trend to other projects we featured last week where the floor price dropped between 30-50% after the art was revealed, even when the art was high quality. This can create great buying opportunities, such was the case with Kiwami Genesis last week. Kiwami's floor dropped to lows of 0.3 ETH after the art was revealed however shortly after the price rocketed back up.

Arcade Land (0.94 ETH, +54.34%) saw great floor gains over the past 24 hours, this came as they announced that there would be 2 new regions added to their collection.

Azuki (25.75 ETH, -8.04%) has seen a further decline in floor price, this makes sense after the huge pump that the project witnessed surrounding its airdrop and garden party event last week. Azuki holders are still up 3x in the past month but will be eagerly watching to see at which price the project will build a support level.

We have a funny story developing this morning. A project called frankfrank has exploded with users all over Twitter tweeting about frank. The meme project was trading at 0.03 ETH just a few days ago and has since rocketed, trading at 1.25 ETH.
