NFT Market Volume

On Wednesday, Opensea traded $127.06 million, a slight dip on Tuesday's trading activity but still a strong and healthy number for the market.

Moonbirds once again was the highest traded project, with 7,312 ETH in total sales. Moonbirds high volume can still be attributed to its insanely hyped launch. Moonbirds also released a statement on Twitter yesterday providing some transparency on the company wallets bird transactions.

Bored Ape Yacht Club saw a second day of heightened trading activity, with 26 sales totaling 3,337 ETH, as did Mutant Ape Yacht Club, with 108 sales totaling 3,596 ETH. This comes as the native token for the Bored Ape ecosystem $APE, pumped nearly 60% over the past week. Many have speculated that the upcoming Yuga Labs metaverse will host its land sale entirely in the $APE currency, however, this is still unconfirmed.

NFT Floor Changes

Moonbirds (28 ETH, +40%) once again saw incredible gains, minters are now sitting on huge profits of nearly $80k per bird. As long as the team delivers and makes some strong announcements, the project should now be able to maintain a solid high floor.

Mutant Ape Yacht Club (33.33 ETH, +7.86%) also saw gains, albeit on a smaller scale. Moonbird holders will next be looking for their project's price to overtake MAYC, it will definitely be an interesting contest to watch.

Toxic Skulls Club (0.51 ETH, +154.40%) which was launched by a Mutant Ape holder saw a nice pump, reaching highs of 0.6 ETH before cooling off and settling at 0.51 ETH. Whilst the project may not appear to be a long term hold, you can never underestimate the power of the Ape community.

One project which got insanely popular for a very short period of time but has since struggled is Winter Bears (0.03 ETH, -19.51%). Some OG members of the community have spoken up about the project's poor leadership, which has spurred the project to host an AMA on Saturday. We will be interested to see if the leadership is able to revive the project after such a big fall.

📈 Crypto trading platform, Coinbase, announced that its' NFT marketplace is now in beta testing mode and has been rolled out to a small number of users on their waiting list. The NFT platform looks to take inspiration from social media platforms, by adding features like a comment system, voting system and an algorithmic NFT feed, presenting itself as an Opensea/Instagram hybrid.

📱 The market leading Solana wallet, Phantom, has officially pushed their app live on Android, allowing users of the world’s most popular mobile operating system to interact with their Solana wallets, send, receive, buy and stake crypto/NFTs on their phones.

🗣️ Entrepreneur and crypto advocate, Gary Vaynerchuck (or Gary Vee for short), has announced the launch of the second part of his VeeFriends collection, which consists of 55,555 NFTs across 251 different characters. The public mint will have a total supply of 10,000 tokens and starts on April 25th.

❌ Ongoing Warning - A MetaMask vulnerability has been identified with iCloud in which iCloud backs up a copy of your keys/seed phrase. Disable iCloud backups for MetaMask here: Settings > Profile > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups.

❌ Ukiyo Players mint was revealed to be a scam that drained wallets.

❌ ILLOGICS discord was hacked and scam links were posted.
