On Tuesday, the final day of May, Opensea traded $41.69 million, which was a small increase on Monday and closer to the top of the range which has formed over the past 2-3 weeks. Magic Eden also saw a strong day of trading, as Solana NFTs continue to dominate people's attention, with $17.34 million in sales.

Now that May has ended we can take a look at the full month courtesy of @rchen8's dashboards on Dune.com 

May's total USD volume was $2.486 billion, down from $3.48 billion in April but roughly similar to March when there was $2.488 billion in volume.

Unfortunately, this doesn't quite paint an accurate picture of the market. Otherdeed, the insanely popular Yuga Labs project which broke all kinds of records launched on the 1st of May and resulted in two huge days of volume making up nearly $700m in volume.

The rest of the month trended downwards with poor wider market conditions causing daily trading volumes to be stuck in a low range. If we didn't have those two days at the start of May, the monthly volume chart would look much worse.

If the wider markets continue to perform poorly and there is less capital available for a hyped drop, we may see June's numbers more representative of the ETH NFT space.

There is hope though, equities and crypto have found a bottom (for now) which has brought an end to the perpetual dumping of NFTs.

goblintown.wtf once again continued to pump, up a further 94% and currently sitting at a 5.42 ETH floor. Rumors have been circulating that the project is secretly owned by Yuga Labs. This stems from old rumors that Yuga Labs had a goblin project planned for the future. These rumors have spread further, and one thread was actually retweeted by the goblintown team which I found slightly bizarre.

It is true that a lot of BAYC people are invested into goblintown.wtf at this point. But I don't think that the rumors hold much weight. At this point, goblintown have been able to build their own brand through the power of the community.

Bored Ape Yacht Club also saw a solid surge in volume yesterday, there was over 3000 ETH in sales, causing an 11% increase in floor price, back up to 95.5 ETH. Could Yuga Labs have some more news instore?

Akumu Dragonz, which is a project launched by the respectable Boryoku Dragonz team had a problem on launch yesterday. Somebody figured out that whitelist wallets could mint as many as they liked using an exploit in the smart contract, leading to one wallet purchasing over 100.

The team did pause the mint after the floor price began to tank once the exploit was known, with the floor dropping below 0.4 ETH. With the project minting still paused, Akumu Dragonz are currently trading at 0.65 ETH after recovering from the initial dump.

👸 British punk and anarchy band, The Sex Pistols, will be marking the queen's platinum jubilee with a commemorative ‘God Save the Queen’ NFT coin and physical counterpart, expressing their dislike of the monarchy and the establishment. The collection will consist of randomised coins with different iterations of the young queen, complete with lip piercings and punk makeup.

📈 Entrepreneur and vocal NFT advocate, Gary Vaynerchuk, filed a trademark for 'Vayner3', an NFT consulting business. According to CoinDesk, the firm will offer “technical consulting in the field of non-fungible tokens, cryptocurrencies and other metaverse and Web 3 activities and assets".
