24hr Market Overview 📈

NFT Market Volume

On Tuesday, Opensea saw a slight dip in volume, with $119.71 million in sales. This is the lowest daily close since MoonBirds launched 11 days ago, however, it's still far greater than the lows of the month.

Gary Vaynerchuck's VeeFriends Series 2 saw a big jump in volume yesterday, with 3,588 sales totaling 4,725 ETH. This is the project's biggest day in sales so far and came as the art for the project was revealed, which typically does result in a surge in volume.

Elsewhere, Meebits had a big day in sales, this came after the Co-Founder of Yuga Lab's (the company responsible for the Bored Ape Ecosystem) tweeted about having big ideas for Meebits Utility and he would be working on them once the team finish launching the Otherside metaverse. This resulted in 2,589 ETH in sales for Meebits, one of the projects biggest days since the start of March.

Both Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club saw tamer volumes yesterday, trading 2,449 ETH and 2,278 ETH respectively. These slower sales leading up to the launch of the Yuga Labs metaverse may come as a surprise to some, however, it's likely due to both the news already being priced in and the announcement that only those who already verified their identities as holders a few weeks ago being able to participate in the land sale.

NFT Floor Changes

There was a mixture of floor movements over the past 24 hours.

VeeFriends Series 2 (0.85 ETH, -15.10%) saw a sell-off as its art was revealed. We have observed this as a very common trend over the past 2 months, where there is a huge surge of volume on the day of the art reveal followed by small to medium losses in the short term floor price as people take profits and undercut each other.

Meebits (7.29 ETH, +50%) saw solid gains after the tweet from Gordan regarding potential further utility. This was a much-needed boost for the project, which has felt starved of attention over the past few months.

Bored Ape Yacht Club (139.80 ETH, +1.30%) saw very small gains, whilst Mutant Ape Yacht Club (36.50 ETH, -8.75%) which had pumped much harder over the past few weeks, saw decent losses in floor price.

We are very interested to see how the markets react to the Otherside launch at the end of the month and suggest that our readers keep an eye on market volume.

🌆 NFT Metaverse, The Sandbox, announced that as part of its' celebration of all things Hong Kong, it will be revisiting and releasing the second part of their Mega City land collection, named Mega City 2. Sandbox users will be able to purchase Mega City real estate in the form of 82 Premium and 42 Standard plots of Sandbox Land via sale and another 48 in an online auction.

🔑 The self proclaimed access and experience card NFT, Metakey, have successfully raised $3.5 million in a seed funding round lead by Web3 investors Animoca. Metakey plan to utilise the funds to expand their offering to their NFT holders by growing their educational platform, Metakademy, and purchase their own Sandbox Land.
