Sunday was a somewhat uneventful day, with Opensea trading $30.42 million and Magic Eden trading $7.62 million.

When taking a look at a chart of trading volume on Solana, it can be somewhat misleading when looking at the numbers in Solana.

For example, May is set to be the biggest month ever with over 5 million sol in volume, in comparison to just 3.48 million in April and 2.14 million in March. On the surface this seems like an explosion in activity but isn't necessarily the case. Solana's price has tanked in the past few months meaning that the $ value of this trading activity isn't actually much of an increase.

If we look at monthly active traders on Solana, we can see a more representative picture, thanks to the work of @TNTClub5.

Whilst Solana monthly traders have not yet broken all-time highs from the start of the year, it is still encouraging to see record-level highs, in comparison to the state of the Ethereum space and is something we will continue to keep our eye on.

Price movements over the past 24 hours have been varied, however both BTC and ETH a long with equities saw decent increases in price which have somewhat saved the NFT market for the time being.

On Ethereum, the Yuga Labs trio finally found some support after a week of dumping:

• Bored Ape Yacht Club | 87.9 ETH, +4.83%

• Mutant Ape Yacht Club | 17 ETH, +4.36%

• Otherdeed | 2.88 ETH, +3.6%

Boki (0.378 ETH, +24.7%) also saw strong gains as the community continues to get behind the projects art.

On Solana, one project which performed exceptionally well was GhostKidDAO (15.5 SOL, +86.75%), the project was also the 3rd most traded project over the past 24 hours. This came after a number of influencers purchased, including @frankdegods, the founder of another Solana project Degods, which has a cult following.

📈 According to TechCrunch, Ayoken, an NFT marketplace for creatives, has raised $1.4 million funding to enable users grow their revenue streams through NFT - featuring digital collectibles from musicians, sports brands and influencers from all-over the world. According to the CEO, Josh King, the marketplace will roll out NFT launches for major African artists.
