NFT Market Volume

Thursday saw Opensea close the day with $136.9 million in volume. We are impressed that the market has been able to maintain stability throughout the influx of volume following the Moonbirds launch last weekend, with volume not dropping back below $100 million.

Moonbirds saw an increase in trading activity as many huge purchases were made, resulting in the top 3 largest purchases for the day being Moonbirds (see below!). Moonbirds closed the day with 346 sales totaling 12,507 ETH. It's incredibly impressive that the project has maintained such high trading volumes for nearly a week now, and with the number of supply listed gradually decreasing, things have been looking continually bullish.

Mutant Ape Yacht Club saw lower trading volumes on Thursday, with 2,296 ETH in sales, down roughly 36%. It was also a similar story with Bored Ape Yacht Club. This slow down in sales for both projects is somewhat expected as most of the volume was based on speculation surrounding Yuga's metaverse with no announcement yet to be released.

The NBA launched their project "The Association" on Wednesday, which despite the botched launch, still has seen fairly successful trading activity. Yesterday the project had 4545 sales totaling 1,427 ETH which is a strong day for a free project.

NFT Floor Changes

A trend for much of this week has been reporting on the incredible gains of Moonbirds. Once again Moonbirds saw a further increase in floor price, with the floor now sitting at 33.88 ETH, a 21% increase from this time yesterday. With market conditions looking healthy, whilst it is very possible that there is a pullback at some point, we expect strong support to step in.

PROOF collective (139.69 ETH, +31.41%), the private member club which launched Moonbirds saw further floor gains. PROOF not only launched Moonbirds but at many times throughout this year have provided their holders with free mints to many successful projects. Only a few months ago you could buy a membership for a fraction of current-day prices but with success after success for the group members, the price has risen sharply.

Cryptopunks, previously the number 1 project in the NFT space, has had a tough time amongst the popularity of Moonbirds and Apes this week. Punks are currently sitting at a 58.5 ETH floor, which is down 8.52% in the past week. The last time Punks dropped below 60 ETH, buyers quickly rushed in. However, this time has not been the case, with the floor price now sitting below 60 ETH for over 24 hours, signaling to many Punk holders that support is dwindling.

💽 The fondly remembered file transferring service, LimeWire, has closed a successful raise of $10 million in a private token sale to fund its musical NFT marketplace. It plans to use the funding from the sale to expand its' growth and continue to onboard musicians onto its new platform.
