On Friday, Opensea's volume remained flat for a third consecutive day, with $109.66 million in sales.

Today is the day that Yuga Lab's, the parent company of Bored Ape Yacht Club, launches its insanely hyped metaverse called "The Otherside". Details were revealed yesterday which announced that Yuga labs will not be running a dutch auction (the most popular way big projects have launched in recent months). Otherside land will cost 305 ApeCoin and users will have 12 hours, from 9am ET on the 30th of April (today) to mint their land. You can read the full details of the launch here.

With Yuga Labs' track record, the launch will most certainly be a huge success. Unfortunately, to participate you needed to submit KYC information to whitelist your wallet. If you haven't already done so, you will need to wait and purchase on the secondary market.

As a side note...

We have seen many users on Twitter and in private Discords, offering to sell access to their KYC'd wallet for those who want to mint land. We would advise all of our readers against purchasing one of these KYC'd wallets. There is the very real threat of scammers selling KYC'd wallets and then using bots to steal your NFTs and funds, as highlighted by 0xBender.

How have the markets reacted so far?

A lot of the mid cap projects have seen moderate losses this morning, this includes:

• CLONE X ｜16.77 ETH, -3.06%

• Adidas Originals｜1.24 ETH, -8.15%

• Cool Cats NFT｜5.20 ETH, -5.45% (The team also announced the departure of their CEO yesterday)

• Doodles｜15 ETH, -2.53%

This was somewhat expected, and we have seen similar happen on other huge launches in the past as people sell some of their bags so that they have liquidity, either to mint an Otherdeed or to purchase on the secondary market.

We are waiting in anticipation to see how the larger markets responds post Otherside sale and to see where liquidity flows next.
