NFT Market Volume

On Tuesday, Opensea closed the day with $124.76 million in sales, a small decrease on Monday.

Mutant Ape Yacht Club saw an increase in volume, closing the day at 2040 ETH in sales, a pretty strong day for the project which usually closes around 1000 ETH. This comes as Twitter users have recently discussed the correct way to evaluate large blue-chip project's secondary collections, such as Mutant Ape Yacht Club.

VaynerSports Pass, which minted yesterday, traded 2,283 ETH across 3606 sales. VaynerSports Pass is a collection of 15,555 NFTs that grant holders access to a private Metalink community and makes them eligible for future giveaways and events.

The project, which was stealth dropped yesterday, has already come under fire for its botched launch which created a huge gas war between users trying to mint the project. @cr0ssETH on Twitter pointed out that over $26 million was spent on failed and successful transaction fees, which has prompted the founder AJ to apologize and begin working on a plan to refund some users.

Elsewhere, Adidas Originals saw a big spike in volume, trading 1836 ETH, up from 348 ETH on Monday. This came as Adidas posted a teaser on their official Twitter for their upcoming Ozworld experience. In the official press release, it was revealed that NFT holders will be granted exclusive early access.

NFT Floor Changes

Despite the shaky launch and discontent amongst the community, VaynerSports Pass sits at a 0.389 ETH floor, meaning that anybody who managed to mint yesterday for 0.155 ETH has already doubled their money.

Mutant Ape Yacht club (26.24 ETH, +8.25%) and Adidas Originals (2.09 ETH, +16.59%) both saw nice floor gains, as did VeeFriends (16.19 ETH, +8.73%) another Vaynerchuck project.

Pudgy Penguins (3 ETH, -16.67%) lost some of the gains that it had made over the past 24 hours. The project had reached highs of 3.6 ETH yesterday but has since cooled off as holders begin to take profit. Pudgy Penguins are still up 191.26% in the past week.

🎮 Swedish gaming company, GOALS, has raised a $15 million seed round and plans to create a blockchain-based football (or soccer) game to rival FIFA. GOALS stated that players will be able to own their teams' players as NFTs, allowing players to trade them on marketplaces.

☕ Starbucks CEO, Howard Schultz, said that the world's most recognisable coffee chain will be entering the NFT landscape 'this year' by working on "digital innovation through NFTs". No specific details were revealed, however Starbucks is expected to release more information in the coming weeks. Read their official statement here.

📰 Clothing brand and early NFT-adopting company, Adidas, has officially announced an upcoming avatar project set to release in April - claiming to be the first “personality based AI generated avatar creation platform”. Holders of their existing NFT, ADIDAS: Into the Metaverse, will be granted early access to the platform.

❌ Ongoing warning - Some users have been receiving phishing emails impersonating cold wallet company, Trezor, stating that their accounts have been compromised. These emails are scams - always make sure that emails are from the legitimate source.
